SWYTCH’D was born from real, local craftsmanship: modular denim for women, cut and stitched in our Cairo atelier. Two identities (DAY structured, NIGHT minimal) bound into a single stitch.

The beginning
A cutting table,
a sketchbook and a wish
It began in a sunlit flat in Zamalek, with one sewing machine, a cutting table, a sketchbook and a list of pieces we could never quite find: denim that felt personal and looked iconic, made close to home.
Our co-founder, Maggy Maher, spent her evenings pinning hems and drawing arches, the shape of the old Cairo windows she grew up beside. That arch still frames every piece of our story.

We design for the way you really live: the studio day that runs into a late night out, the walk along the Corniche, the moment you zip the legs off your jeans and walk into a different evening.
Denim is chosen for how it holds its shape and how it wears in, never just how it photographs. Every piece is fitted on real women until it moves the way it should: easily, sharply, a little bit dramatically.

The making
Made slowly,
made to last
Our twelve artisans cut, stitch and finish every piece in our Cairo workroom, in small runs so very little goes to waste. Flat-felled seams, hand-set zips, hems distressed by hand: details you feel before you see.
We would rather make fewer things, beautifully, so you can keep wearing them for years and fall in love with them all over again.
